Staying on Target

Despite doing so many things right in life, why can’t I shake

Feeling like a Failure?

In the process of transforming, I have tapped into one of my greatest resources: high energy.  I can accomplish an incredible number of tasks in a day's time in pursuit of my goal of a more purposeful, loving, and present life.  Despite my greatest efforts I find myself spinning my wheels, feeling exhausted, and wondering if the actions I'm taking are making any difference.

WARNING: Exhaustion and self-doubt can cause a person to be miserable to be around.

I expect to achieve 100% of my goal every day, and anything that comes in my way of accomplishing that is a nuisance (which makes me feel angry). When I feel this way, I refer to the behavior as "fiending". Fiending assumes that individuals, responsibilities, and circumstances are conspiring to undermine my objective. It is energy-depleting and causes unpleasant interactions with everyone (especially those I love).

Unfortunately, the relationships we seek to improve are often the ones that are suffering the most.

Exhausting our precious resources causes mood imbalances, fatigue, and feelings of failure and overwhelm. Each day is a disappointment without achieving the goal (the one that would instantly solve ALL problems).

A shift…

What if we utilize our energy to accomplish only 2% of our goal each day?

That could help to sustain the energy we need for what is most important. Each day could end with a feeling of accomplishment, taking us one step closer to our ultimate goals.  Those positive efforts and feelings may compound over time, leaving us feeling empowered, supported, and successful.

Victory is ours!
